Rosemarie Luther - Fall/Transitions

'Transitional' phases of birds flight pattern. Specifically a peregrin falcon that will be gradually getting larger and swooping in to full wing span in the front. The farther back, the lighter and less focused the falcon will be. Hopefully this will show more technique than anything else.

  1. I like the idea of transitions through the flight pattern of a bird. My suggestion would be showing it as a young bird somewhere, representing growth. But it's up to you!

  2. It's a great idea to show transitions through movement! You seem to really like working with animals :)I like how you mentioned the bird will be less focused as you go farther back, it will definitely add a sense of dimension to the piece. My suggestion would be to maybe use acrylics as your medium. From what I saw in your last piece, you seem to be pretty skilled in that area and it would really make this piece pop!

  3. This is a really cool idea! Sounds like you already have it all planned out too. I think acrylics would work best if you want to paint it or maybe alkyds because they give you more control over the details. Im excited to see how this turns out.

  4. I like the idea of showing transition through birds I agree with Kurt that you should make a smaller bird somewhere in the picture, But other than that it looks preety good.

  5. This is an awesome idea! I hope you can paint faster than last time though! (just kidding) I know it will look awesome if you paint it and that's a really creative interpretation of transitions.
